THE KAZAN CATHEDRAL

One of the most magnificent churches in all of St. Petersburg, the Kazan Cathedral was originally built to house "Our Lady of Kazan." Whom is supposed to have appeared overnight, as if by magic in 1579, only to disappear without a trace in 1904. Currently the church houses the Museum of Religion, also known as the Museum of Atheism. The Kazan Cathedral is located on Nevskiy Prospekt. The Gardens of Kazan Cathedral are famous for summer wedding!
